This photo
was sent to me by Rob from California. Several people have written to
say that the parish high school was located in Detroit, Michigan.
At the bottom is marked, H.A. Powell Studios, Michigan-Ohio.
The names of the students indicate more of a first generation
Italian/German/Irish immigrant parish, rather than one in a rural
northern town. According to Linda W, the pastor was Father O'Rourke.
St. Bernard Parish in Detroit was in operation from 1849-1990, although
almost all the parish high schools in Detroit were closed long before
1990.
