This endeavor is dedicated to the thousands of women and men religious, lay teachers, parents and clergy who are responsible for the development of the Catholic high schools in America. Without their interest, dedication, prayers and just plain hard work, millions of Americans would not have been able to experience a Catholic high school education.

This includes, most especially, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Brentwood, NY who sponsored and staffed more than 100 schools, hospitals and other institutions in the Diocese of Brooklyn, including my own high school, pictured above, The Mary Louis Academy in New York.

The Sisters of St. Joseph, Brentwood are today, the only community of Women Religious who still sponsor and staff eight high schools in the Diocese of Brooklyn and the Diocese of Rockville Centre.
