These are Catholic high schools in the state of Wyoming which were once in operation, but were closed. Some are from the very early part of the 20th Century or even late 19th Century. Click on the name of the school for details.

Do you have any information, photos, articles, memorabilia regarding the Catholic schools? It would be great to add it to this collection. No need to send originals, photocopies or scans are fine. E-mail here.

Below are vintage directories of schools from 1965 presented for nostalgia and historic purposes. Please note that some schools included in these vintage listings may still be open. You may refer to the listings under Current Schools for cross-reference.

Seaton High, Cheyenne

Known as "St. Mary's High School" and before that as "Holy Child Academy," Seaton High was part of St. Mary's School (the Cathedral parish in Cheyenne) then separated and renamed as Seaton with the costs and tuition needed for the secondary level. St. Mary's was (and is) a continuation of the "Holy Child Academy" which was in existence before becoming a parochial school under St. Mary's Cathedral parish. St. Mary's continues in existence as a Pre-K through 9th grade parochial school.

The entire school facility, as well as the block on which it is located, has been sold to the State of Wyoming – it is just across the street from the Capitol building – and is scheduled to be torn down. The proceeds from the sale are being used to build a brand-new St. Mary’s School a few blocks away.
